A focused interpretation guide

How to read this one-city astrocartography scan

This calculator tests one latitude and longitude against planetary rising, setting, Midheaven and Imum Coeli angles at the birth moment. It is a focused city check rather than a global astrocartography map.

Four angles, four kinds of emphasis

MC and IC contacts are traditionally connected with visibility, direction, roots and private foundations. Rising and setting contacts are explored through presence, encounters and relationships with a place.

Distance is reported without exaggeration

The result ranks the nearest angular contacts and uses an eight-degree reflection threshold. Wider contacts remain visible as weak rather than being promoted as strong lines.

What a global map would add

A complete astrocartography map traces angular curves across the world and may add parans, local-space lines and a relocation chart. None of those are silently simulated in this one-city result.

Transparent by design

How this astrocartography calculator: one-city scan works

01

Calculation

For the coordinates you supply, the calculator derives local sidereal time, equatorial positions and each planet’s angular distance from the meridian or horizon at your birth moment.

02

Interpretation

A close angular contact can be used as a relocation reflection prompt. This honest MVP evaluates one supplied city; it does not pretend to be a complete global map or include parans and local-space lines.

03

Accuracy and limits

Coordinates, birth time and UTC offset must be correct. Proximity is reported in degrees and weak contacts are explicitly labeled rather than promoted as strong lines.

Frequently asked questions

What does this astrocartography calculator check?

It checks one supplied city for the nearest planetary MC, IC, rising and setting angles at your birth moment and reports their angular proximity.

Does this page create a global astrocartography map?

No. It is an honest one-city proximity scan. It does not draw global line curves, parans, local-space lines or a full relocation chart.

Why is exact birth time important for astrocartography?

Angular positions change as Earth rotates. An inaccurate birth time, UTC offset or coordinate can move the calculated contacts and change which line appears closest.

What does the eight-degree threshold mean?

It is the transparent proximity rule used by this focused scan. A contact within eight degrees is marked for reflection; a wider result is labeled weak rather than hidden.
