How to Calculate Your Life Path Number
The Life Path Number is calculated from your birth month, day, and year. Reduce each part to a single digit, then add them and reduce one last time. The one rule that trips people up is the master numbers, 11, 22, and 33, which are never reduced.
- Reduce the month. For example, December is the 12th month, and 1 + 2 = 3.
- Reduce the day. The 29th becomes 2 + 9 = 11, a master number, so it stays 11.
- Reduce the year. 1990 becomes 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, then 1 + 9 = 10, then 1.
- Add the three results and reduce. Keep the answer as it is if it lands on 11, 22, or 33; otherwise reduce to a single digit between 1 and 9.
Worked example, March 15, 1990: month 3, day 1 + 5 = 6, year 1990 reduces to 1. Then 3 + 6 + 1 = 10, and 1 + 0 = 1, a Life Path 1.
