Why is my Vedic sign different from my Western sign?
Western astrology measures signs from the vernal equinox; Jyotish measures from fixed stars. The frames are roughly 24 degrees apart, so a tropical Sun early in a sign often falls in the previous sidereal Rashi.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Not for this free snapshot. Ascendant, houses, Moon-based Janma Nakshatra and precise Dasha dates need an accurate birth time and birthplace.
What is a Dasha?
A planetary period in the Vimshottari system, calculated from the Moon at birth. It describes a chapter or emphasis, not a guaranteed event.
Is this the same as a full birth chart?
